Guess what I'm getting....

A new dog! My very own, first ever, dog! Meet Katie/Sadie....
She's a 7 1/2 year old Yorkie and I'm adopting her from a breeder in Godley, TX. I will be on my way this Saturday to pick her up. I'm hoping that I can change her name to Sadie without any problem. We'll see. I figured Sadie was close enough to Katie that maybe it won't be a problem.
I'm a little nervous. I've never thought I would want an inside dog. But I've ALWAYS loved little Yorkies. I'm hoping she'll adjust to our little family quickly.

Thankful

I decided to post a good blog today. A list of things I thank God for. I think that life is so busy. I read something the other day, can't remember if it was an email forward, a chapter in a book, or what; but it talked about rooms in heaven and how in each room there were many angels busy at work. I wish I could find it. I believe it was an email. Anyways....Well there was one room but the angel there wasn't very busy. The room was for all the thank you comments and praises coming to God. So that email made me think. Do I ever really stop during my busy day to thank God for the things he's blessed me with that day? Small or big? Or do I just go to him when I need something? So, if you my friends are reading this, I hope you too can think about that. Do you really thank God for things he blesses you with, or do you just talk to him when you need something?

My Blessings....Thank you God for...

my church. We've been through a lot this year but by prayer and standing behind and beside each other we can stand on Grace. That's why our church is called Word of Grace.

my pastor and his family. Whenever I see them, they put a smile on my face.

the weekends we have with Logan. He may be a little stinker sometimes but every minute we have with him is precious. We shouldn't take that for granted. I thank God that if I was chosen to be a stepmom that God gave me Logan.

my friends. What on earth would I do without them(you)? All the phone calls, emails, instant messenger talks, coffee talks, lunch dates. There has been a lot of things they have gone through with me. I believe God has brought each one of them (you) to me for a reason.

my drama-filled family. LOL I really have to laugh at that. They are what they are. I wouldn't trade them for any other.

my soft-hearted, people-pleasing, personality. It's hard to be who I am sometimes. But God makes us who he wants us to be, not what we want to be. I'm thankful that I can care so much about things and love people so much that at times I may get hurt doing so.

my ivy plant that's still alive on the edge of my desk. It was from Clayton's funeral and when I see it I can be reminded of the life that Clayton has up in heaven.

my husband's love for me. He may be difficult at times but I still have no doubt that God knew he was the man he had for me. I know he loves me!

dr. pepper, sweet tea, Starbucks, cheeseburgers, barb-q, Dairy Queen blizzards, and all other things that have made me FAT. HA! Because now I don't have family asking me if I am anorexic. heehee

my eye sight. I can look out my window here at the office and see the beautiful blue sky and all the birdies flying. Sometimes they'll come perch right on my windowseal (sp?). I like that.

music. Music, the right kind, can be so full of motivation, support, advice, and love. It can be uplifting.

I'm going to stop for now. But I bet I will be back to add some more later.

Thank you God for all these things!

This ain't Myspace...

Ok, so I'm trying something new. I'm going to see how this works. I've been wanting to start one of these for a while now, or atleast since my face fell off the wonderful world of myspace. But I didn't want to have a blog that was open to the public. So we'll see how this goes. Oh..and don't critique my bad writing habits or misspellings. Just read and enjoy....or Don't. (Where are those crazy emoticons when you need them - isn't that what they're called?)

At times my life is filled with drama, as most of you can probably relate, and at times I have some crazy, wonderful news to share. So I want to have a place that I can go, where I can write how I feel, what I'm going through. Good and bad. Happy and sad. I wanted to have a place where all my close friends and relatives could go to catch up on me.

So this is my first BLOG. Woooweeee. Hope you enjoy and find yourself here once in a while.
OH and check out my new glasses above. Heehee I LOVE new glasses. (These are brown w/ turquoise)

Love to you all!
