Feel Good Wednesday #43

I have loved this song from the very first time I heard it many months ago. If I were to call and request this song to be played I would play it for the following:

Ashley, my sister. I know you're nervous and questioning where God wants to take you next. You are at that stage now where you're wondering which path to choose, which college to attend, what career path to start after. Just keep trusting God. He will never lead you down the wrong road.

Shontel, Julie, Amber - my sister's in Christ. I know you are wanting that positive pregnancy test. You may be wondering why is it taking so long, will it ever happen, why is it not happening for me but everyone else around me. Don't live life in fear - BELIEVE. Never give up Hope.

Kristi - my friend from childhood. God's got just the right job for John. Your steps are ordered. Don't forget to trust Him.

There are so many more I could "request" this song for but these are the ones that came to my mind when I listened to this song this morning. To all of the above don't forget the scripture I have held onto for so long. Jeremiah 29:11 "I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you hope and a future."

Sidewalk Prophets - The Words I Would Say
From the album These Simple Truths

Three in the morning, and I'm still awake
So I picked up a pen and a page
And I started writing just what I'd say
If we were face to face
I'd tell you just what you mean to me
Tell you these simple truths

Chorus
Be strong in the Lord
And never give up hope
You're gonna do great things
I already know God's got His hand on You
So don't live life in fear
Forgive and forget
But don't forget why you're here
Take your time and pray
These are the words I would say

Last time we spoke you said you were hurting
And I felt your pain in my heart
I want to tell you that I keep on praying
Love will find you where you are
I know 'cause I've already been there
So please hear these simple truths

Chorus

Say from one simple life to another
I will say come find peace in the Father
Be strong in the Lord
And never give up hope

You're gonna do great things I already know
God's got His hand on You
So don't live life in fear
Forgive and forget
But don't forget why you're here
Take your time and pray
And thank God for each day
His love will find a way
These are the words I would say

Feel Good Wednesday #42

I love how this song is so peaceful sounding. It's nice to just sit in His presence and bask in His glory. Sometimes we just need to sit in a quiet, peaceful place and enjoy Him.....to just let Him speak to us. I love how we can have such a divine romance with The One who created us and everything around us.

Phil Wickham - Divine Romance

The fullness of Your grace is here with me
The richness of Your beauty’s all I see
The brightness of Your glory has arrived
In Your presence God, I’m completely satisfied

For You I sing I dance
Rejoice in this divine romance
Lift my heart and my hands
To show my love, to show my love

A deep deep flood, an Ocean flows from You
Of deep deep love, yeah it’s filling up the room
Your innocent blood, has washed my guilty life
In Your presence God I’m completely satisfied

Feel Good Wednesday #41

We each go through our own hurts and disappointments in life. And while going through these it feels like there is no light at the end of the tunnel. We may not know why things happen the way they do; but in the end we can know that there was a perfect purpose and plan.

The day I hold Brady for the first time I will KNOW that all the pain, all the hurt, all the tears that were cried.....was ALL worth it for him. The perfect one that God had chosen for me. I told someone the other day that I get emotional thinking about Brady's upcoming birth. I imagine what it will be like right when he's born. I can only imagine tears of Joy and the greatest feeling of God's presence I have ever felt. 'Cause in that very moment God has given a life to me that I had so hoped & prayed for. I know God is always with us, but I just have a feeling that I will be able to feel Him so much at that moment.

Before the Morning - Josh Wilson

Do you wonder why you have to
Feel the things that hurt you
If there’s a God who loves you where is He now
Maybe there are things you can’t see
And all those things are happening
To bring a better ending
Someday somehow you’ll see you’ll see

Would you dare would you dare to believe
That you still have a reason to sing
Cause the pain that you’ve been feeling
It can’t compare to the joy that’s coming
So hold on you gotta wait for the light
Press on and just fight the good fight
Cause the pain that you’ve been feeling
It’s just the dark before the morning

My friend you know how this all ends
You know where you’re going
You just don’t know how you’ll get there
So say a prayer
And hold on cause there’s good for those who love God
But life is not a snapshot
It might take a little time but you’ll see the bigger picture

Once you feel the weight of glory
All your pain will fade to memory
It’s just the hurt before the healing
Oh the pain that you’ve been feeling
It’s just the dark before the morning

I have to thank my friend Shontel for posting this song on her blog last week. It's perfect! I knew I would have to use it this week.

Keep holding on to hope!

Baby Bump update

The baby bump has definitely grown. In fact, it doesn't look like a bump anymore, it looks like a mountain to me. Then there are the other 2 mountains on top of the main mountain. Ha! Seriously. Tomorrow marks the first day of my third trimester! It also will be exactly 3 months from my due date. YAY! I am enjoying being pregnant and don't mean to sound like I'm complaining about my belly. There is not a day that has gone by that I don't thank God for the blessing He has given me.

Feel Good Wednesday #40

Something Beautiful. That is exactly what God is in my life. He never ceases to amaze me. He is the beautiful weather we've been having the last couple of days. Thank goodness! Man, have I missed this Spring weather. He is the beautiful flowers that are starting to be planted. He is the beautiful smiles that we see on loved-one's faces. This world would be one ugly mess if we didn't have Something Beautiful like Him.

Welcome back to Feel Good Wednesday! I hope you can feel Something Beautiful like Him today! Take time to stop for a minute today and look around you....what you see is Something Beautiful...Christ.

Something Beautiful by Need to Breathe

In your ocean, I'm ankle deep
I feel the waves crashin' on my feet
It's like I know where I need to be
But I can't figure out, yeah I can't figure out

Just how much air I will need to breathe
When your tide rushes over me
There's only one way to figure out
Will ya let me drown, will ya let me drown

Hey now, this is my desire
Consume me like a fire, 'cause I just want something beautiful
To touch me, I know that I'm in reach
'Cause I am down on my knees, I'm waiting for something beautiful
Oh, something beautiful

And the water is risin' quick
And for years I was scared of it
We can't be sure when it will subside
So I won't leave your side, no I can't leave your side

Hey now, this is my desire
Consume me like a fire, 'cause I just want something beautiful
To touch me, I know that I'm in reach
'Cause I am down on my knees, I'm waiting for something beautiful
Oh, something beautiful

In a daydream, I couldn't live like this
I wouldn't stop until I found something beautiful
When I wake up, I know I will have
No, I still won't have what I need

Hey now, this is my desire
Consume me like a fire, 'cause I just want something beautiful
To touch me, I know that I'm in reach
'Cause I am down on my knees, I'm waiting for something beautiful
Oh, something beautiful (fade out)

All I Need

I'm getting a feeling that maybe God is trying to tell me that my Feel Good Wednesday posts should come back. One thing that has bothered me about these days is that not every song I want to share can be found on the website I use (playlist.com). But I'm going to try and bring it back. And I know it's Friday, but I have a couple of songs to share. For the last week, or even longer, I haven't been listening to music in the morning because I get tired of hearing the same songs played over and over by our christian radio stations. Well, this morning I plugged in my Ipod and hit shuffle.

The first song that got me was Blessed Assurance. You know, the old hymn we probably have all heard at one point in time, if you have visited a church. I have the version by Third Day off their cd Chronology: Volume 2. I couldn't find it on playlist.com but here are the words.

Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine!
O what a foretaste of glory divine!
Heir of salvation, purchase of God,
Born of his Spirit, washed in his blood.

This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior all the day long;
This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior all the day long.

Perfect submission, all is at rest;
I in my Savior am happy and blessed,
Watching and waiting, looking above,
Filled with his goodness, lost in his love

I don't know about you, but it seems that in this generation the hymns are getting lost and forgotten. But, to me, hymns are SO rich in their words. We have a guarantee that Jesus IS ours! It's not a "well, He might love you today" or "He might hear you praying today"....NO He DOES love you EVERY DAY and He hears EVERY prayer. Our relationship with Him here on Earth is just a sampling of what we will have once we reach Heaven. We are all heirs of His goodness, salvation, of His love. We should not ever forget what He has done for us, what He is able to do, and we should praise Him for these things every day.

The next song that came on was All I Need is You, sung by Kim Walker of Jesus Culture. I am pretty sure I have used a song of theirs before. I found this song on playlist.com sung by Hillsong United. I enjoy their music a lot as well. All we need is Him! We don't have to fear. We can put our trust in Him that everything will turn out just the way that HE wants it to.

All I Need is You:

Left my fear by the side of the road
Hear You speak
Won't let go
Fall to my knees as I lift my hands to pray
Got every reason to be here again
Father's love that draws me in
And all my eyes wanna see is a glimpse of You

All I need is You
All I need is You Lord
Is you Lord

One more day and it's not the same
Your spirit calls my heart to sing
Drawn to the voice of my Saviour once again
Where would my soul be without Your Son
Gave His life to save the earth
Rest in the thought that You're watching over me

All I need is You
All I need is You Lord
Is You Lord

You hold the universe
You hold everyone on earth
You hold the universe
You hold
You hold

All I need is You
All I need is You Lord
Is You Lord

I hope you all have a fabulous weekend. Remember to praise Him for what He has done and is doing in your life.

Baby Update

I know I have failed miserably on my blogging. I am sorry. I guess I am just in a blogging funk. But it's good to know that God still speaks to me about things to write. I have gotten numerous comments from Friday's post. It is amazing how God works if we will just allow Him to use us.....even through our writing.

I also need to update you on the baby boy that is kicking and growing. We have officially named him. Our little boy will be Brady Clayton Bohannon. I can't WAIT to touch him, smell him, and kiss him. We are both doing great. I have reached my 25th week of pregnancy and can not believe how fast it is going. I have the baby showers planned. One (May 1st) is going to be in the town we live in for Wes' side of the family and my local friends. The other (April 25th) will be back home where I grew up for my mom & dad's families and my friends that still live in that direction. I am SO blessed to have friends and an aunt and cousin who are willing to give their time and money to throw these showers for me. I feel so blessed. I have my baby registries completed. I have registered at Target, Babies R Us and a local store here called Stork Land. Brady will be here before we know it!

I thought I'd share my baby bedding I have on order with you guys. The first picture I copied from an online store....the rest are close ups that I took at Stork Land. It's called Animal Tracks by Cotton Tale. Oh, and I have my crib and dresser/changing table purchased. Thanks to my very sweet Dad for driving a little bit to pick it up for me. He made my week last week. I can't wait to get it all put together. I have some work ahead of me.
