Feel Good Wednesday #40

Something Beautiful. That is exactly what God is in my life. He never ceases to amaze me. He is the beautiful weather we've been having the last couple of days. Thank goodness! Man, have I missed this Spring weather. He is the beautiful flowers that are starting to be planted. He is the beautiful smiles that we see on loved-one's faces. This world would be one ugly mess if we didn't have Something Beautiful like Him.

Welcome back to Feel Good Wednesday! I hope you can feel Something Beautiful like Him today! Take time to stop for a minute today and look around you....what you see is Something Beautiful...Christ.

Something Beautiful by Need to Breathe

In your ocean, I'm ankle deep
I feel the waves crashin' on my feet
It's like I know where I need to be
But I can't figure out, yeah I can't figure out

Just how much air I will need to breathe
When your tide rushes over me
There's only one way to figure out
Will ya let me drown, will ya let me drown

Hey now, this is my desire
Consume me like a fire, 'cause I just want something beautiful
To touch me, I know that I'm in reach
'Cause I am down on my knees, I'm waiting for something beautiful
Oh, something beautiful

And the water is risin' quick
And for years I was scared of it
We can't be sure when it will subside
So I won't leave your side, no I can't leave your side

Hey now, this is my desire
Consume me like a fire, 'cause I just want something beautiful
To touch me, I know that I'm in reach
'Cause I am down on my knees, I'm waiting for something beautiful
Oh, something beautiful

In a daydream, I couldn't live like this
I wouldn't stop until I found something beautiful
When I wake up, I know I will have
No, I still won't have what I need

Hey now, this is my desire
Consume me like a fire, 'cause I just want something beautiful
To touch me, I know that I'm in reach
'Cause I am down on my knees, I'm waiting for something beautiful
Oh, something beautiful (fade out)

All I Need

I'm getting a feeling that maybe God is trying to tell me that my Feel Good Wednesday posts should come back. One thing that has bothered me about these days is that not every song I want to share can be found on the website I use (playlist.com). But I'm going to try and bring it back. And I know it's Friday, but I have a couple of songs to share. For the last week, or even longer, I haven't been listening to music in the morning because I get tired of hearing the same songs played over and over by our christian radio stations. Well, this morning I plugged in my Ipod and hit shuffle.

The first song that got me was Blessed Assurance. You know, the old hymn we probably have all heard at one point in time, if you have visited a church. I have the version by Third Day off their cd Chronology: Volume 2. I couldn't find it on playlist.com but here are the words.

Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine!
O what a foretaste of glory divine!
Heir of salvation, purchase of God,
Born of his Spirit, washed in his blood.

This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior all the day long;
This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior all the day long.

Perfect submission, all is at rest;
I in my Savior am happy and blessed,
Watching and waiting, looking above,
Filled with his goodness, lost in his love

I don't know about you, but it seems that in this generation the hymns are getting lost and forgotten. But, to me, hymns are SO rich in their words. We have a guarantee that Jesus IS ours! It's not a "well, He might love you today" or "He might hear you praying today"....NO He DOES love you EVERY DAY and He hears EVERY prayer. Our relationship with Him here on Earth is just a sampling of what we will have once we reach Heaven. We are all heirs of His goodness, salvation, of His love. We should not ever forget what He has done for us, what He is able to do, and we should praise Him for these things every day.

The next song that came on was All I Need is You, sung by Kim Walker of Jesus Culture. I am pretty sure I have used a song of theirs before. I found this song on playlist.com sung by Hillsong United. I enjoy their music a lot as well. All we need is Him! We don't have to fear. We can put our trust in Him that everything will turn out just the way that HE wants it to.

All I Need is You:

Left my fear by the side of the road
Hear You speak
Won't let go
Fall to my knees as I lift my hands to pray
Got every reason to be here again
Father's love that draws me in
And all my eyes wanna see is a glimpse of You

All I need is You
All I need is You Lord
Is you Lord

One more day and it's not the same
Your spirit calls my heart to sing
Drawn to the voice of my Saviour once again
Where would my soul be without Your Son
Gave His life to save the earth
Rest in the thought that You're watching over me

All I need is You
All I need is You Lord
Is You Lord

You hold the universe
You hold everyone on earth
You hold the universe
You hold
You hold

All I need is You
All I need is You Lord
Is You Lord

I hope you all have a fabulous weekend. Remember to praise Him for what He has done and is doing in your life.

Baby Update

I know I have failed miserably on my blogging. I am sorry. I guess I am just in a blogging funk. But it's good to know that God still speaks to me about things to write. I have gotten numerous comments from Friday's post. It is amazing how God works if we will just allow Him to use us.....even through our writing.

I also need to update you on the baby boy that is kicking and growing. We have officially named him. Our little boy will be Brady Clayton Bohannon. I can't WAIT to touch him, smell him, and kiss him. We are both doing great. I have reached my 25th week of pregnancy and can not believe how fast it is going. I have the baby showers planned. One (May 1st) is going to be in the town we live in for Wes' side of the family and my local friends. The other (April 25th) will be back home where I grew up for my mom & dad's families and my friends that still live in that direction. I am SO blessed to have friends and an aunt and cousin who are willing to give their time and money to throw these showers for me. I feel so blessed. I have my baby registries completed. I have registered at Target, Babies R Us and a local store here called Stork Land. Brady will be here before we know it!

I thought I'd share my baby bedding I have on order with you guys. The first picture I copied from an online store....the rest are close ups that I took at Stork Land. It's called Animal Tracks by Cotton Tale. Oh, and I have my crib and dresser/changing table purchased. Thanks to my very sweet Dad for driving a little bit to pick it up for me. He made my week last week. I can't wait to get it all put together. I have some work ahead of me.

To All Those Waiting

Dear friend,

Something came over me that I needed to write to you. To tell you that I know your pain that you're going through. To tell you that I know the tears that are being cried. I know how it feels to ache for something SOOOOO bad and yet, time keeps moving on but it seems like it's standing still for you. I know how it feels to be living each day with a desire so strong in your heart and there is nothing you can do except wait. It seems like you're all alone doesn't it? It feels like you're a zombie trying to face each day with a fake smile on your face. You keep clinging to your faith but it feels like you're just dangling by a string. One day you feel a strong sense of hope and peace, the next you feel like your world is crashing down and that God is not listening to you. I have been there. I have been in your shoes. For YEARS I have dealt with this pain, this ache, this desire. It doesn't make it any easier when the ones around you are saying, "give it time" "it's going to happen" "trust God". There are countless scriptures to be read. There are countless song lyrics to be sung. When all hope is lost and you feel that agony and pain.....on the day(s) that you simply feel like all hope is lost....get on your knees and cry out to Jesus. He IS listening....I PROMISE!

A quote from a book Facing the Giants...
"Focus on Giants, you stumble.....Focus on God, your giants tumble."

Come on friend, imagine that you're running a race....a race that had many obstacles. You're running through mud, over grassy sticker patches, and then you get to one point and there is a brick wall standing in your way....but you look and there is a bridge at one end of that wall...you keep running and you feel like you can't run anymore but then you see something....the finish line....and WAIT....there is Jesus standing at that finish line and He is cheering you on. When you get to Him He says..."well done thy good and faithful servant. You have ran the race, you have waited for your desire, you have been through many tests.....it's now time for you to receive your reward."

Lyrics from Leeland's Lift Your Eyes:

You can search your soul and find no light
Until you look in the Savior’s eyes
And then you finally realize
The saving sacrifice is love divine
Come on and lift your eyes
Lift your eyes, come to the cross

I love you dear friend. God knows the exact person that needed this letter today. I know there are several of you out there waiting on your desire....but God knows the exact one that needed this.

Lift your eyes up and keep holding onto that hope...no matter if it feels like just a string.

Where am I?

I know I have not blogged in a while. I had every intention of actually doing a Feel Good Wednesday post yesterday but things have been so busy here at work. Not only is tax season here but add to it that I'm pregnant and trying to get things organized and Kathryn trained on my job. I woke up yesterday morning at 4 a.m. and could not sleep. I had so many things rolling around in my head. Then at 6 a.m. I started thinking about work. That was not good. Often when things like that happen I get up and pray and feel better. So that's just what I did. And my day went SO much better than I thought it would. So it just goes to show, when worry hits, just pray. I was determined to have a good day not matter what.

So how am I feeling? GREAT! This pregnancy has been such a blessing. No morning sickness...except for occasional nausea earlier in the 1st trimester. I am just a couple of days away from hitting my half way mark. 20 weeks!!! Yikes!!! After I rolled on passed the first trimester it seems like this pregnancy is just flying by. I don't like that. I want time to slow down a bit. I know the baby is not even here yet, but I don't know if Wes and I will have any more children. It hasn't been discussed. And I don't want to discuss it just yet. I just want to enjoy this. So I really want to take things easy and really soak in this pregnancy.

Our baby boy has been moving so much more this week. I love it! It is the most amazing feeling. I haven't caught on yet if the bumps I'm feeling inside are him just moving around or if he's kicking me. But either way, I'm really enjoying him. I LOVE to sing. So every day on the way to work and back home I crank up my Itunes and sing to my baby. I hope he gets his Dad's voice. Hardly anyone knows this but Wes can sing SO good. But he hides that well. :) How many of you mommies out there talked to your baby when you were pregnant? I catch myself saying little things to him. For instance when I'm hungry I'll say "I know, I'm about to feed you too." I crack up at myself. Or earlier when I felt some bumps from him I said "I feel ya, I'm ready to go home too."

Well, I hope I haven't bored you. I just wanted to write something to you that look forward to what I have to say. Oh, and for those that are waiting and waiting for a bump picture.......keep your eyes open soon. You never know what picture you may find on here.

I really hope that I will be able to get back to my Feel Good Wednesday posts....or maybe something new that has to do with my faith and love for music. We'll see.
