Feel Good Wednesday #19 on a Tuesday

I am posting our Feel Good Wednesday a little early this week. I haven't mentioned that I have become a Loaned Executive for the United Way. I am so excited about this new adventure I have chosen to take place in. I am going on a 3 day retreat and plan to come back with lots of United Way information. I will share with you guys all about it later on. I will try to remember that. Just like I need to remember to post about this past weekend (birthday party for Jared and Grease with my sister).....Anyways...for the Feel Good Wednesday this week...

A few years ago Allen Asbury visited the church I was going to. Have you ever heard of him? Go here and check out his website. He has such a powerful voice! As I was looking back on my library of songs, this song jumped out at me. It always brings tears to my eyes when I hear this song. Just thinking about the many times I know someone has been saying my name in prayer and I may not even know it. Prayers mean so much to me. Prayers are heard. Prayers are answered. I know for sure I had a lot of prayers praying me through back in January. I am so grateful for those! I am so grateful for the prayers that are still being said for me today!

Somebody's Praying Me Through
Allen Asbury

Pressing over me like a big blue sky
I know someone has me on their heart tonight
That's why I know it's gonna be alright
'Cause somebody's praying me through
Somebody's praying me through

It may be my Mother, it might be my Dad
Or an old friend I've forgot I had
But whoever it is I'm so glad that
Somebody's praying me through
Somebody's praying me through

Through the tears, through the rain
Through the sorrow, through the pain
It keeps bringing me through
Over and over again
So when you're drowning in a sea of hurt
And it feels like life couldn't get any worse
There's a blessing waiting to push back the curse
'Cause somebody's praying you through

Somebody's praying you through
Someone got down on their knees and prayed for me
Somebody's, somebody's praying you through

The sweetest words

I know a lot of you who read this blog are also my friends on facebook but I just have to share the sweetest words I heard this morning.

I look forward to July. July means hugs and kisses every night before bed. July means Bible stories and prayer time before bed. July means lots of questions from a young mind that sometimes I don't have all the answers to. July means lots of swimming time at the grandparent's house and watching a fish-like kid swim around in the pool. July means watching a brownish head turn to blonde because of all the swimming time. July means birthday fun for my little man. July means I get to actually be a full time mom instead of an every-weekend part time mom. July means lots of giggling and wrestling going around in the house. July means watching my little man wipe sleep from his eyes when it's time to go to maw-maw's house for the day. July means getting to drive my little man to maw-maw's house and watching and waiting for him to turn around and blow a kiss my way. July means SO much to me! I hate to see it end. I have enjoyed this July more than ever...because this July Logan said the sweetest words to my ears.....

This morning on our way to maw-maw's house Logan asked,"When do I go back to my mom's?" I was bracing myself for what was to come next. I thought I knew exactly what he was going to say after I said,"Umm, this is your last week buddy." He said, "I'm pretty sure I'm going to miss ya'll."

What more could I ask for this July. I love my little man. I am positive me and his dad are going to miss him!

Why It's Grease Lightnin'!

Do you recognise that line? It's a famous line from Grease. I am so excited to be going to the local theatre and opera house here in town. If you live in or near the Wichita Falls area and have not visited The Wichita Theatre.....you are missing out. I really enjoy going. Tonight, my sister and I are going to watch Grease. I will probably be singing along driving the person next to me crazy.

Then tomorrow is a birthday party for one of our little cousins in the family...Jared. He is having a party out at the grandparents house. We will have a great weekend filled with swimming and a trip to the movie theater to see G-Force (the little movie with the guinea pigs). I hope you all have a fabulous weekend.

Feel Good Wednesday #18

I think I'm kind of going with the same "theme" this week as I did last week. I guess I am hoping God will see these songs I'm adding and finally pull me out of this rut I seem to be in. Last week I mentioned that I'm not angry at God about anything. I guess I should expand on that. Previously this year, I admit it, I was a little mad. I think we can all get angry at God about things. But I hope it doesn't last long with you. I try not to. He will quickly remind me that He is in control and He knows exactly what He is doing. We just need to trust Him. I'm not sure why I've been in a rut. I'm not disappointed, sad, depressed, etc. about anything. I guess I just need a refreshing touch from God. I'm ready for things to let lose at church. I think there are a lot of people in a rut at church lately. Should I even be saying that? I'm not trying to judge people. I'm really talking/typing a lot it seems today. I'm just sharing my mind....Anyways. I am excited about what is to come for our church. We have purchased an existing building and will be adding another building to that. I can't wait to have a church building. I can't wait to have a revival. I need it. We have prayer services on Sunday nights. I have really enjoyed these prayer times. It has allowed me to stop what I'm doing and pray. This Sunday night I felt like I just needed to rejoice! Rejoice for what is to come, what God has done for me, and what He is doing for those around me.

Ok, I hope you didn't mind my little talk session above. Here's the song for today.

Pull Me Out by Bebo Norman

Tell me now, when does this start feeling
Like I understand everything I'm dealing with
First I was young, now it's all just happening
And what about the way I said that
Made you turn around and shake your head
Like I don't even know what I'm asking for

This could be all about just letting go
Or this could be all about just holding on

Chorus:
I can't get my feet off of the ground
I want to run but I don't know how
Can you reach down here and pull me out, can you pull me out, yeah
I want to scream but there's no sound
I want to fly to you somehow
Can you reach me here and pull me out, can you pull me out, yeah

Remember when I was young and hungry
I could take it in without much money
I had nothing at all but dreams and time to kill
Now I feel like I'm treading water
And I'm hardly real, I'm just trying harder
To make my way on the earth by standing still

This could be all about just letting go
Or this could be all about just holding on

Chorus

Not a moment too soon, you will be my rescue
But tell me how long will it take

I can't get my feet off of the ground
I want to run but I don't know how
Can you reach down here and pull me out, can you pull me out, yeah
I want to scream but there's no sound
I want to fly to you somehow
Can you reach me here and pull me out, can you pull me out, yeah

I hope you have a Happy Feel Good Wednesday. I may be doing the next FGW a little early. I have a retreat to go to for the United Way. More about that later. Just be prepared if the Happy Feel Good Wednesday is actually on a Tuesday or something. Thanks for sticking with me today.

Feel Good Wednesday #17

Do you ever feel dry in your relationship with God? Do you ever feel like you don't have the right words to pray? Like you have no idea what to say? Like you're an empty well just waiting to be filled? Do you just wish sometimes God would come and just move you to where He wants you to go? Do you ever feel like you wish God would just simply sweep over you like a cool breeze?

I have noticed that it doesn't take very long to fill like the above. One day you may be singing and praising Him, one day you may be on your knees praying and feeling His presence....and then the next day you just feel empty. That is exactly how I have been feeling lately. Totally honest there. I don't feel angry at God about anything. I guess I have just become boringly content. Does that even make sense there? Maybe that was the wrong 2 words to put together. Is boringly even a word? Haha I digress...anyways...I think we all feel like this at one point or maybe even many points in our lives. I am speaking for myself here, but I think I just allow myself to become too lazy or too busy and totally overlook what I really should be doing. Like instead of sleeping in, I should be getting up and praying. I have not been doing a good job about that. It's time to wake up! It's time to quit being lazy! It's time to quit allowing other things in our schedules to get in the way of our relationship with God.

Once again as I was driving to work today "the" song was played. I like our local christian radio station because they play songs I haven't heard before. I hope the words of this blog and this song do something for you today as it has done for me. I pray that I will wake up and allow God to move or at least move me.

Lord move, or move me
by FFH - Found a Place

I can't find the words to pray
I'm a little down today
Can you help me?
Can you hold me?
I feel a million miles away
And I don't know what to say
Can you hear me anyway?
What I need is for you to reach out your hand
You have taught me
No matter what you'd understand

CHORUS:
Lord move in the way, that I've never seen before
Cause there's a mountain in the way and a lock on the door
I'm drifting away, waves are crashing on the shore
So Lord move (move), or move me.

I've looked everywhere to find
A simple peace of mind
I can't find nothing on my own
So I got to leave myself behind
Take up this cross of mine
Give away everything I hold onto
Lord I know the only way is through this
But Lord I know I need you to help me do this

CHORUS

Out of this place of complacency
To a place of fellowship with thee
Cause I am weak but Lord you are so strong
And you know it's been way too long (been way too long)
Lord move in the way, that I've never seen before
Cause there's a mountain in the way and a lock on the door
I'm drifting away, waves are crashing on the shore
So Lord move (move)...CHORUS

John 10:7-10 (KJV)
Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Venturing out and sharing my hobby

For a couple of months now I have been working on a new hobby. At first I thought I'd only do this for my own benefit; but now I'm thinking more about trying to make a little money off of it. If you would be interested in a necklace for yourself or to buy as a gift I would love to make one of these for you. I'm going to set my starting price for these at $25/necklace. Please don't look at the freckles or double chin in these pictures. I need to find a better model.

Sprucing Up!

Do you notice a change to my blog?! Doesn't it look awesome. I can say it looks awesome because I did not do it. Haha A sweet blogger friend of mine, Shelley, did this for me today. Isn't she the sweetest thing?! I'm giving her a shout-out. Shelley, you are a sweet, awesome, Christian woman. I'm so glad we are blogger friends! And I'm so glad I found you through Summer.

Shelley has inspired me. She runs marathons people! I'm not sure I will ever say I have ran a marathon but still she is an inspiration. She also went on a missions trip this summer to Honduras. Wow! Her posts melted my heart as she summarized her trip.

I could go on and on. But Shelley, thanks so much for sprucing up my blog! I promise there will be a Feel Good Wednesday song this Wednesday. Uh hum, you need to become a follower of my blog. *wink*
